Fabrizio Grasso’s practice focuses on real estate investments and financing as well as general corporate, transactional and finance matters for European companies and their United States affiliates. He has extensive experience with real estate investments and financing, domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, and negotiating and drafting international and domestic commercial contracts.

Representative Matters

  • Represented private investors in lawsuit against prominent private bank in Singapore for breach of fiduciary duties, obtaining a multi-million dollar settlement;
  • Represented Foreign manufacturer of military and civil aircraft engines with various disputes arising out of its contracts with other aircraft manufacturers and suppliers;
  • Represented Foreign defense contractor in consideration of bid to acquire a multinational defense contractor;
  • Represented Foreign state-owned manufacturer in an arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce;
  • Represented European and Middle Eastern jewelers in multi-million dollar counterfeiting suit;
  • Represented Foreign Company in a dispute arising out of a Contract for Engineering Procurement and Construction of an industrial plant in the UAE;
  • Represented US Solar companies in connection with several projects across the US;
  • Represented borrower in connection with a $30 Million CMBS loan workout;
  • Represented clients in connection with the following real estate transactions:
  • $70 Million sale of a New York City residential apartment building and subsequent leveraged 1031 Exchange reinvestment in several properties across the US;
  • $9 Million sale of a Texas commercial real estate property;
  • $14 Million acquisition and financing of a group of three Tennessee medical office properties;
  • $8 Million acquisition and financing of a commercial real estate property in NY;
  • $5 Million acquisition of a commercial real estate property in NY;
  • $8 Million acquisition of a Texas real estate investment company;
  • $13 Million lease buy-out on behalf of property owner in Pennsylvania;
  • $4 Million lease buy-out on behalf of property owner in New York.

Pro Bono Activities

In 2010, Mr. Grasso won the MFY Partner in Justice Award for his work with the Kinship Caregiver Law Project of MFY Legal Services, which provides advice, counsel and representation to grandparents and family members who are taking care of related children. The project helps preventing children from entering the foster care system by helping kinship caregivers in matters of legal custody, legal guardianship and adoption.
